Guided Meditations
Meditation is both simple and daunting. It's a buzz word and a sacred practice. It's my intention to share ways of inviting your mind to function a little differently than the intensity of the average day in a fast-paced world. The goal is never to clear you mind completely of thoughts. That's simply not possible. Minds think, that's what they do!
The aim here is more about allowing yourself to slow down for a few minutes and focus on the words and ideas in each meditation. Your mind will wander and that's ok. Each time you notice, that's a moment of mindfulness! If you're asked to imagine something there's no pressure for perfection. For instance if I say car, your mind easily and automatically creates an image of a car, even if it doesn't single out a specific make and model.

Soothing Rhythm Breathing
In this meditation the focus is on allowing your breathing to become soothing, calming, and grounding. The breath becomes the anchor, allowing your mind to settle with the ease of each breath. This meditation is foundational and can be practiced any time anywhere once you get the hang of it.
May you live with ease.
A Short Body Scan
In this meditation the anchor is more active than when we focus on the breath. Here, we take time to check in with various parts of the body, bringing awareness to sensations as they arise without judgment. It's a way of slowing down and living in your body with acceptance in this very moment.
May you be well.
Making Room for Gratitude
Perhaps one of the most accessible meditation practices out there. Practicing gratitude has the potential to be life changing in simple yet profound ways.
"Ahhh, this coffee smells so good."
"Ohh, this fleece is so cozy and warm."
When we point our minds to the things we're grateful for, we're telling our minds "this is important" then the mind will go looking for other things to inspire gratitude. It snowballs quickly and easily creating more pleasantness in each day. Too good to be true? Why not give it a go for a couple of weeks and then let me know how you find it?
